welp, i'm finally back in berkeley, but my apartment is still in bits and pieces after the move. i'm really grateful that cd-mcc, liam, and karl were there to help fill in for me, since i wasn't able to come back to help move. so i'm actually in SF for these past 2 days. our new place is really rad! for $175 less than before ($1075 now vs $1250 before), we get a BIGGER room and a view of the campanile and the bay. oh yeah, i forgot to mention that we're only moving to a different studio in the building. the only bad part is it's 1 more floor up. hehe.

with more room, cd-mcc and i decided to get some more furniture, so we went to ikea today. we decided that the new room was able to fit 2 seperate beds, 2 seperate desks, and a coffee table. we got all of the above besides the coffee table which we didn't find any to our liking @ ikea. lifting those furniture up 4 flights of stairs caused my arms to be missing temporarily. i wasn't able to grip nor type. i even had problems trying to open the car door.

we had dinner @ barney's and then returned back to SF. one of the unluckiest things happened to us. cd-mcc parked the car and we ran out as the garage was closing. suddenly he remembers that he left his house keys inside his jacket which was still in the car. unfortunately by the time he realized what to do, the garage door had already closed. we went to check up on the neighbors who had a spare key to their house, but they weren't home unfortunately. oh yah, one more thing, his cellfone was inside the car too, so his access to ppl were limited to #s in his memory. he called his parents, but they either turned their cellfone off or were out of service. karl wasn't home either. we were stuck out in the cold with really nowhere to go. suddenly cd-mcc remembers that his dad parked his old volvo in the clinic's parking structure, which was only 3-4 blocks away. we walked over there, got the car and started calling ppl again. this time we got through to his parents which gave us several people to contact which have spares to their house. unfortunately none of them were home. finally karl got home but we weren't able to goto his place yet. in the middle of this call, cd-mcc's sister calls and my voice mail picks up before cd-mcc can answer. (she actually lives in LA, but is up in SF for a convention that her boyfriend's going to) she left a voice mail stating that she was actually heading toward the house and we drove back and we arrived together. welp, the misfortune ended here. hehe.

we headed off to karl's place afterwards, chilled and watched "What's Love (Tina Turner Story)", Newlywed Game, and The GodThumb.
