thought of the day: from Are your taste buds aging? Our sense of taste erodes as we grow older.: About 75 percent of what we perceive as taste actually comes from our sense of smell. The odor molecules from food give us most of our taste sensation. Taste buds can only distinguish four tastes: bitter, sour, salty, and sweet. i've heard that statement many times, but smelling an apple can bring back memories of the taste, but what i'm curious about is does scent actually tell you what it tastes like if you've never tried it? i mean if the tongue can only distinguish those 4 tastes, if i tell u something is very sour and let u smell it, would one be able to produce a mental sensation of what it'd taste like when you bite it. in other words, have you ever ate something new and thought, this tastes exactly like what i expected it to be w/ no basis from the ingredients.

spent most of the day working on hw. finished my ee122 hw which was nice. now only have cs174 which is due wed. and whatever cs169 gets assigned to me. started working on my ee122 proj. didnt get too far tho.

spoon finally released the next episode: Full Metal Alchemist Episode 43.

i 'obtained' *cough* 3 more copies of Ju-on and guess what! i now have 4 different versions of Ju-on. a search on imdb shows that there are indeed 4 versions. 2 tv movies and 2 theatrical releases. and guess what, hollywood is going to do a remake with it w/ sarah michelle gellar: The Grudge. my Ju-on library is now complete and we're planning a 5hr marathon sometime next weekend.
