sorry for the inconvenience, but for those who leave comments, i've added a barrier to deter away spammers. as you may have noticed, i've already stopped posts on my guestbook. so for comments, i've implemented a verification system. the current context is text-based, but may change to image-base to deter scripts. right now, it's a simple algorithm of hashing your ip with a randomly generated code. later on, i'll make it so codes can not be reused for x amount of time. may also be implementing this system in my guestbook sometime in the future. haha. that might not be for awhile since i havent made much progess on the layout update yet.

so it's been a really busy day. got off work @ 9, so i'm hitting the sack early today.

got this link from an ms dl: LEVITRON - The Amazing Anti-Gravity Top. check out the video. it's pretty neat!

got this link from /. : Confessions of an Engineering Washout. pretty interesting read, though i disagree with many points. a 43% final doesn't mean you only learn 43% of the course material. engineering is about logic, not memorization/time limit. that's why i never got why engeineering courses had finals. projects are much better are measuring how much you've learnt and way more fun, though this guy didnt seem to have enjoyed his endless nights in the lab. then he said: In high school I had grown accustomed to math classes that featured clear, helpful instruction from teachers who liked to teach and excelled at teaching. In high school I had grown accustomed to math classes that featured clear, helpful instruction from teachers who liked to teach and excelled at teaching. At Smartypants U, the jewel in the crown of American academia, my math instructor was a twenty-something teaching assistant whose classroom style never deviated from the following pattern. i guess i have kimura to thank for this. she was neither clear nor gave helpful instructions and didn't particularily like to teach, besides smacking you when you're lost. haha.

got this article from yahoo: Fish story: the 35,000 that got away. "They were waving to us, they had lots of smiles, and I saw a couple hold up some fish with great glee," Marine Harvest managing director Craig Foster told ABC radio. no duh! when each fish is worth almost US$11 and there's 35,000 of them swimming around, it's like 35,000 $10 bills flying down from the sky. everything's up for grabs and of course those bills look like they're smiling at us!
