welp, without further delay, here it is: Project Mischief. With only 3 weeks of school left, I’ve gone all out and violate the bandwidth rule big time. After telling several friends about what I’m going to do, they suggested I go for the 65gb mark which was foothill’s current highest bandwidth violation. As you can see from project mischief, I hit 66gb with Sunday breaking the 12gb mark. Phase I was a great success. Phase II and III will follow in hoping that I’ll break the 100gb mark. Why I decided to do this? Because of the stupid bureaucracy. One, they’re stupid in implementing this rule which does more harm than help. Two, violations of 100megs are put in the same level as violation of several gigs. Three, it took them 2months to summon me to the PRB (peer review board). Since PRB has been dismissed already, and the rescomp will very likely be able to do anything within 2 weeks (especially since it’s finals time), bandwidth violation will no longer matter.

Today was coincidence day. I’ve bumped into so many people and so did mechy. After psych class, we went to the student store to get red scantrons. As we were lining up to pay, we saw cari leave the cashier, but she left before we could say hi. On our walk back up to foothill, mechy bumped into like 5 of his friends, which he claims several he never saw this year. At the pinnacle of our hike, we bumped into lilpebbles which we haven’t seen in ages. It was a fun day. One more day of school!

Lately, I’ve been having midnight snacks all the time. Never had that experience before. Maybe it’s stress and I’ve heard stress makes you hungry. Or it could’ve been I didn’t have any food or disliked the food I have stored. Hehe. Anyway, I hope to change this habit and for now, g’nite and ~sweet dreamz~ ^_^zzz

welp, phase I of project mischief is completed with great success. Was going to post it today. Actually, I’ll tell you the whole story. The project wasn’t ready @ 4am, so I decided I’ll just post it tomorrow. But then now that it’s 6am, the project has been completed and I thought, okay I’ll post it up today. Thinking one step further, no one knows what project mischief really is… so of u guys might, but most don’t. So let’s just say project mischief isn’t anything really snpectacular or great nor a project itself. Just being mischievous is part of human nature. Therefore, I’ve decided to post it up tomorrow. (I know that did not make any sense at all, I think it’s just me that wants to hang you guys by a thread a little longer, but that wouldn’t make much sense either since you guys weren’t on the thread in the first place). I actually think I’d be more anxious to show it to you guys.

Today I shot the moon 3x in a row!!! (is that what it’s called?) My next goal will be to shoot it 4x and win in 4 rounds w/ everyone dead! MUWHAHAHAHA! (btw, the names of the other players have no link to real life. Hearts just pre-makes them and I never figure out how to change them.)

I’m happy to announce there’s officially 2 days left for school. For those in Berkeley, I wish you luck on finals as I believe you’ll do the same fore me. -_^x Ganbatte!!!

Today, I’ve had some meaningful discussions with cunndogg and green. One thing we talked about was base 10. Why do humans count in base 10. (for those that don’t know what base 10 is, it’s 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 while binary[base2] = 0,1; base 10 just means 10 different digits to represent numbers, just like hexadecimal[base16] = 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,A,B,C,D,E,F) Anyway, we were talking about why humans count in base10. Most of you might think that base 10 is just naturally easy to count, but ask yourself the question why. It’s the most obvious because that’s how we learned it since our birth. If we learnt from base 12 or 16 since birth, base 10 will be like: oh, this is weird… One thought was maybe the first people to create numbers relied on their fingers. Green rebutted by saying if that is true, then there we should be in base 11, not 10, cause there’s 11 #s our hands can represent: 0-10. Then we moved on to think about which base would be the perfect base and easiest to learn in. We’ve decided that binary would be too hard and too long. 11111111(base2) = 256(base10). Cunndogg suggested base 12 which 12 is a really nice # because lots of factors are multiples of 12 and I suggested 24. Both were good candidates. Green said if he owned a country, he’ll implement the hexadecimal system(base 16). One cool fact we found out is that 64(base16) = 100(base10). We didn’t really go into finding the relationship much, since our discussions moved on. Since we were all EECS, we talked about how post-fix would be so much easier to program. (post-fix: 3 4 +; in-fix: 3 + 4; pre-fix: + 3 4) In post-fix math (which was btw used in Latin), no parenthesis were required, which currently in-fix requires parenthesis in so many places. It then moved on to languages where the verb follows the object (post-fix). So if I wanted to say: The world as it is will end soon, it’ll be something like: The world as it will soon end is. Weird...

mechy took to a MechE fair today. tons of cool projects (but some were very useless). The coolest one we saw was the automatic air hockey player (or should I say defender). Can’t really hit the puck back, but acts fast enough to block it from entering. It basically has 3 rows of photon detectors, where it takes in the 3 coordinates to calculate the projection of the puck. It then moves its hand and blocks it. Too bad the girl that did the project had to keep on throwing the puck back. When will they make a real robotic air hockey player? Or have they made one…

Nothing much happened today. btw, did u know gambling is so fun when the money you’re using is your friends! He got the cards and I just dumped the money in. ^_^x

The Food Fight was one hectic scene. Of course I wasn’t there to witness it. Oh yeah, the food fight was referring to yesterday’s *something*. Through my sources, I learnt that the food fight lasted about 6 minutes long and will take ~3 days to clean up. Half of the DC will remain close for these 3 days. They’re trying to find who started this mess and apparently you can be fined $1500 for causing damage to the school property. YIKES! They still don’t know who the culprit is, but cops have been calling everyone that has been identified and linked to the scene of crime.
