not much today, just tons of Defend Your Castle. after dying so often, i finally figured out why my units were dying:
The reason you lose units when you finsih a level is UPKEEP. There is a cost for each unit you have when you finish a level. You must have enough points left over from the LAST level to sustain the units you have when you finish the CURRENT level.
EG. You finish stage 10 and spend all your points. You train 8 archers in stage 11. When you finish the level, you need to pay upkeep with the points you had at the end of the LAST level. Since you had 0 points, you lose all of your archers.

now my current status is: Level: 24; Armor: 120000; Archers: 125; Craftsmen: 100; Wizards: 210. I had to goto sleep on 25th level, but while i was preparing my my computer for downloads, i noticed that the enemies were continuously attacking my castle, yet the armor didnt got down a bit. no magic even! sweet archers and craftsmen. hehe.

spent most of yesterday playing xbox with ungsunghero and horacio. went over to help horacio build his new computer. all he's waiting for now is his abit siluro gf4 ti4200. he's using my 3dfx voodoo 3500 @ the moment. after hours and hours of fuzion frenzy and bouncing... i mean dead or alive, horacio finally got tired and went home and ungsunghero and i went to in-n-out for animal style burgers and well done fry's. the fries were very oily but very good.

had lunch w/ msticazn and mai today @ pete woods on garvey. pretty good korean bbq. mai's a pretty nice gal. i mean pretty & nice! (-_^x) also got my 200cd binder. msticazn apparently found a really cheap dealer in downtown LA where they're selling it for $9 each, no tax. awesome huh? here's some pix of it:

met rocky today, a friend i met last year in hong kong. he's going to a college in pennsylvania and stopped by socal to visit his uncle. he's returning to HK tomorrow afternoon, so my grandma set up a lunch where harrybons and i could meet him before he left. first thing i noticed when i saw him: YOU HAVE LONG HAIR (almost shoulder length). he said he didnt like the barbers here and only trusted the one he had back in HK. last time he got his haircut was winter break in HK.

lsiymle bought a nemo plushie for her friend's bday and it's so cute!!! here's the pix (untouched) i took of it: font; side. finding nemo is an interesting movie. i know friends who've given up on fishing after watching that movie. another swore he wont eat sushi/fish anymore (his loss). then another who wanted to go to red lobsters right afterwards. my brother on the other hand has been asking my dad about aquariums, fish tanks, sea water fish vs fresh water fish. finally he asks if he can get a clown fish. lol. (^_^x)

ppl have been asking, is the the canon s400 bigger than the s200/230? i'm like, i think they're the same. they take a look @ my camera and say, i think the s400 is a bit bigger. so i decided to go and chk the dimensions for myself:

  • canon s200: 87.0 x 57.0 x 26.7 mm (3.4 x 2.2 x 1.1 in.)
  • canon s230: 87.0 x 57.0 x 26.7 mm (3.4 x 2.2 x 1.1 in.)
  • canon s400: 87.0 x 57.0 x 27.8 mm (3.4 x 2.2 x 1.1 in.)

welp, i guess they were right. the s400 is 1.1mm bigger, something i'd probably never be able to notice myself. hehe. (^_^x)

thanks to ungsunghero for donating this article. usb ppl are so devious. go FIREWIRE!!!

thanks to hkenshin for donating this article. Ragnarok Online fans READ! my sentiments exactly. well, not as bad as his, but a game with no goal/ending isn't something i find fun/enjoying. worst of all, they download allow players to kill each other (aka PK). what's the fun in that if all u do is go around and kill monsters which levels u up to kill more monsters.

woke up to the doorbell ringing @ 12pm this morning and fedex was there and guess what i got!?!?!?! my sweet canon s400 is here! here's the first pic i took with it. it came with an extra battery and a carrying pouch. i bought a separate 256MB CF earlier that week and @ max settings i can get 123 2272x1704 pix @ 1.72MB each . hehe.

ungsunghero and horacio had our first gathering of the summer. been planning this since we had our gathering in spring. chilled @ puente hills for like 7 hrs which included Fry's (stupid ppl wouldn't write horacio a rain check), Jack-in-the-Box (horacio suggests the philly cheese steak), Toys-R-Us (still very expensive toys), Best Buy (ran outta the $2.99 after rebate cdrs), Circuit City, Staples (had the 160GB in stock for $70 after rebate/after coupon, but none of us had a coupon readily available), target (swapped the xbox live kit with return to castle wolfenstein), electronics boutique, foot locker/foot action/champs (ungsunghero needed some sox, did u know he wore size 13!!!), old navy (picked up some a nice shirt there), gap, compusa (aka comp ussr), barnes & noble (good magazine reading place), and ended our trip with appetizers and salad @ TGIFriday.

too tired to write much more. g'nite (-_-x)zzZZ
