thought of the day: so the other day was i walking up hearst and i came head on to someone walking down. and i'm pretty sure all of you've had those moments where both of you waste a few secs shifting left and right until one of you give up and the chain is broken. i've come up w/ a theory where given a situation like this, our body unconciously follows the lead of the other, sorta like a feedback system and is perfectly natural. what isn't natural for our body is sending the STOP MOVING command and like a sudden jolt, we stop our body from reading the feedback. i'm not sure if i'm the only one who notices this or if it's just me, but you can't really break out of the chain by moving, cause the other person will definitely follow you or you will follow the other person. the only way to stop this chain is by halting and everyone feels that jolt when they try to stop.

another thing i forgot to mention was that my $100 Amazon GC came. had to sign up to try aol and that cancellation won't be a easy task, but a $100 gc gets me nice things. (^_^x)

thanks to artemyst for donating this site: STYLE2OUF. the one i especially liked (although i haven't seen all of them yet) was: Bruce, Ykanji.

so i'm finally done with ee122 proj3's checkpoint one. submitted it earlier today. now i've gotta start studying for cs174. sigh...

a lot of stuff had happen this week, so i've been too busy to mention that i got my 1st paycheck. yay! apparently it went into my bank account on monday when i was in seattle. $850 extra to spend. hehe.

i mentioned this gmail software a few days ago: GMail Drive shell extension. just got around to play with it today. i do have my full 1gb of space to put files in. the only problem is that each file is limited to 10MB which isnt a problem when you have winrar and can split the files. i did a download speed test ona a 9.53MB file and it took 40.6s from start to finish (including initialization and connection time) which comes out to be ~240kB/s which is really good considering my cable only supports upto 350kB/s.

deadlock was telling me the other day how he scored on woot!'s 3rd round of crap:

found this article while browsing through some news: Odd mishaps cause computer grief. read the user stories below. they're the best! A friend at university had completed a 10,000 word assignment the evening before the morning it was due to be handed in. During the night there was a thunderstorm and his house was hit by lightning which fused the entire house's electricity and blew up his computer. He lost the entire assignment.
